PIPING DESIGN & STRESS ANALYSIS

Piping design work (including stress analysis) can be performed using ASME, EN (BS/DIN), DVS, AWWA, SABS and to client specifications.

We offer a range of pipe engineering services, including the following:

  • Approval of new isometrics to meet client specifications
  • Wall thickness, flange and valve rating checks
  • Pressure test calculations
  • Nozzle loading to within equipment specifications
  • Data sheets for spring supports and special supports and other special items such as expansion bellows
  • Checking to meet code requirements for new and existing designs
  • Stress analysis using Caesar II software
  • Specifying new item numbers for items not listed in existing client material specifications
  • Assisting, upgrading and updating client specifications to new code requirements including drawing up specifications for new plants (e.g. new line classes)

Engineering continued…

  • Specifying of special piping items such as high integrity valves
  • Pipe trouble shooting, such as minimizing vibrations, and water hammer concerns

We also offer the following pipe drafting services:

  • Piping plans and layout
  • CAD software drafting of existing drawings before modification is done
  • Approved for Construction (AFC) isometrics including the Bill of Material (BOM)
  • On site As-Built/As-Is (and red line) of existing isometrics and Mechanical Flow Diagrams (MFD’s)/P&ID’s
  • Electronic drawings can be provided in various formats
  • 3D models for client review
  • 2D drawings
  • Drawings can be produced by using laser scans
